ABOUT....
JIM HERMEL and THE HOT CHIX perform
the songs of early Elvis, (rockabilly and rock 'n' roll,) Jerry Lee Lewis,
Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Gene Vincent, and
Bill Haley etc., etc.
THE HOT CHIX,
one of Australia’s top female backing bands, provide dynamic
bass guitar and drums, plus superb harmonies.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
Several times during the course of the performance, Jim switches to drums,
and the HOT CHIX perform as stars in their own right.
Virginia on vocals, also plays rock 'n' roll piano, Jerry Lee Lewis style,
and brilliant lead guitar, including, note for note, the famous Bill Haley
& The Comets "Rock Around The Clock" guitar solo, possibly
the only female guitarist in the world to play this famous and intricate
guitar solo.
For the HOT CHIX front of stage segments, Lynette, also on vocals, takes
over bass guitar and wailing blues harmonica.

• Performed on the same show as Jerry Lee Lewis, at the JERRY
LEE LEWIS SHOWROOM, in Nashville, Tennessee
• Formed own band in Texas on later tours of America, playing in
famous 6th Street, Austin, the former haunt of Texas rock exponent, Stevie
Ray Vaughan.
• Other USA appearances: New Orleans, Baton Rouge, NBC TV, “Citizens Live” cable Television Show, Fort Huachuca (For the US Desert Storm Troops, 1991), Live radio Interviews and performances.
• Performed on the main stage of the Big River Festival, San Antonio, Texas USA, a festival which attracts 100,000 people annually, in 1986, and again in 1991, and became the first Australian to perform at Bangkok's "Hard Rock Cafe."
• Continually performs
around Australia at Rock and Roll Festivals, Functions & Concerts.

What a fantastic band this is. The editor suggests that if ever they play
in the local area, then get along and enjoy the fabulous music this band
churns out. They are hotter than the surface of the sun. Plus, coupled
with outstanding musicial talent, they are just a marvelous and friendly
bunch of people. Give yourselves a treat and rip on along to one of their
gigs.
This is not one mans hype, this band is truly outstanding. They are absolutely
sensational. What a great couple of nights those that attended had. Good
onya!
